Unfortunate Metaphor of the Day
 Gordon M. Bethune, chief executive of Continental Airlines, quoted today in a New York Times story about the lobbying campaign by the other airlines against a Federal bailout for ailing United Airlines, the nation's largest carrier:
United isn't too big to fail. They'll just make a bigger hole when they hit the ground.
