"The One Genuine Surprise of the Speech"

The Atlantic Monthly Online has a killer feature package -- 18 articles! -- just up today: The Real State of the Union. Among other great stuff, James Fallows, a former Presidential speechwriter himself, has annotated Bush's actual speech with commentary. I am so pleased that Fallows calls the African AIDS initiative "the one genuine surprise of the speech," because that's what I called it too.
